Northern light dinner
Northern light dinner with SkyArk
Would you like to combine a magnificent nature experience with comfort, quality and relaxation? Then you should join us on a tour with SkyArk where you will experience our region`s wilderness from its best side! We pick you up at your hotel or the airport for transfer to Kurravaara, there you settle down in one of the snowmobile ark’s bean bags. As we travel along the frozen river and through the snowy forests you can enjoy the panoramic view comfortably protected from wind and cold.
The Sami tipi, lávvu, is waiting for us at our destination. There are no lights to spoil our view of the sky, so we have a fantastic chance to see the mythical evening dance of the northern lights. In the lávvu you will experience a part of the Sami food culture when served njalla (Sami bread), smoked reindeer and moose with a potato salad topped with lingonberries around an open fire. Your dinner beverage is “Tears from Lapland”, made from lingonberries or blueberries, and poured in your kåsa (wooden cup). Dinner is rounded off with a local dessert and fresh brewed coffee.
Listen close to the crunch of the snow, the swish of the northern lights and tales from the region streamed through the speakers in the ark. During the tour, we will stop to take photographs, which we will send to you as a memory of your trip.
